Philana’s expertise is built on navigating major systemic transitions, including EMR rollouts and structural unit management. Having worked within both large-scale public health and private practice, she understands that operational efficiency and economic stewardship are collective responsibilities. She values the combined wisdom of academic research and frontline clinical experience, ensuring all voices are heard in a complex environment.

As the Lead Architect of the Digital Shield™, Philana works alongside clinicians to integrate proactive protection into the system’s design. Her mission is to restore dignity to the nursing profession by empowering the next generation today, ensuring a resilient and compassionate workforce for our community’s future.

Strategic Technical Assistance

Currently, Philana provides the Strategic Advisory and Technical Assistance required to support the South Australian healthcare workforce as we prepare together for the 2026–2036 mandate.
